Formation and interaction of localized coherent structures for DNA dynamics

Abstract

The nonlinear dynamics of a DNA chain on the Peyrard-Bishop-Dauxois (PBD) model is investigated. It is shown that the DNA dynamics can be described by the modified Ablowitz-Ladik (MAL) equation. The Ricarti method is applied and we derive an exact solution of the MAL equation when a recurrence relation is established. Thereafter, the evolution of the found solution as well as the impact of elasticity are carried out in the PBD system with realistic values of parameters.
