Abstract
The paper points out a set of benefits derived from the use of an electronic computing system for flow measurement, using orifice plates. A comparative study between the new opportunities and the traditional methods, used in practice, is performed. By the means of sensitivity investigations of the flow function some useful conclusions for sizing and designing orifice plates are presented.
