N2 - In this paper, various performance equations are derived from phasor diagrams of a three phase non-salient pole (cylindrical rotor) synchronous generator of known armature resistance and of ignored armature resistance for lagging, unity and leading power factor load. These equations are used to calculate the output parameters of non-synchronous generator and to plot the graphs of terminal voltage-armature current, torque angle-armature current, torque angle-terminal voltage, power-torque angle and torque-speed characteristics through simulation by MATLAB program for the purpose of illustration.
